About Nicolas

Nicolas Webb has worked in the public sector, played his part in the growth of a small business and is now running his own company. Away from business, he has involved himself in voluntary roles and politics.

Nick is currently a trustee of the Welsh Refugee Council and a Member of the Gorwel think tank management board. He has also helped in rescuing a non-league football club which was set to go out of business and served as Chairman of his local Civic Society.

A long-held interest in using politics for good (which is why it exists!) has led to Nick standing for election on a few occasions. In 2015 he was a Parliamentary candidate for Newport West constituency and also stood in the inaugural Police and Crime Commissioner elections.

Nick's particular political interests include integration, economic growth, civic leadership, international development and transport. He has written on policy and records a podcast with long-time friend and political opponent Richard Martin.

He is currently preparing a collection of policy essays, some new and some updated versions of previous work, with the working title "Where Paths Cross".
